hi NG,
I bought an L7S7A2 Mobo(http://www.ecsusa.com/products/l7s7a2.html) since it
is specified that it supports all XP processors and installed an 3200+ XP on
it. After a bios update, the mobo determined the CPU as 3200+ on FSB 200,
but when I start the computer (windows), it hangs up after the desktop has
been loaded.
On FSB 199 it works stable.

Also the onboard sound makes problems in most games, it doesnt depend on FSB
settings.
As the support reported, i had to set the multiplicator to 11 - helped
nothing.

System configuration:
GeForce 2 MX 200
512 DDR Ram (by company TwinMOS)
20 Gig HDD
2 CDRom Drives
320W power supplier (europe/ 230V network)
On board sound, onboard LAN
199 FSB (hangs up on 200)
11 Multiplicator
voltages settings untouched
latest BIOS update (AMI Bios)

North and southbridge have to be passive cooled, right?
The northbridge doesnt become hot even after a while working.

How can i solve the 200FSB and the soundcard problems?
Thank you in advance

I have the same problem. I am overclocking an XP 2500 but I don't
think that that is the problem. When I have time I'll try the
Cheepoman bios. There was another custom bios about but it killed my
last board.

Not a problem here.

[Jura's friend] Till now, the CPU runs stable, the only problem still exists
is with the soundcard (C-Media AC97). While it runs in Windows [and Jedi
Knight] without problems, all other tested games (America's Army, WarCraft
III etc) have sound problems.
Description of the problem: interferences. They sound like badly tuned
radio, are very short and work like echo. You made a shot in the game and
such interferences come 2-3 times with a length of several tens of
milliseconds.
Official drivers didn't help, we also tried other drivers ... well, i don't
know if he tried any other ones, but at least the official CD drivers
provided with the MoBo should work properly - no way.

Well, if someone has an idea, please, post.

Thank you, NG, also in advance.

If that doesn't work, try updating directx, I have heard this problem
when directx isn't working properly. Otherwise you might have a
problem with interrupts.
