Question Lag on mouse & keyboard when using USB extension cable ?

My mouse and keyboard is connected via usb 2.0 active extension cable 5 meter , between cable and peripherals i have simple hub with 4 usb ports , just 2 are connected .
I have big lags on both mouse and keyboard on PC but when i do the same on my laptop they work normal ?
It happens already on my second pc which i have bought recently.

Does the USB hub have its' own power source?

To hub and generally for the whole pc i have just mouse and keyboard. I don't think if it can somehow affect, I have HDMI extension cable 5 meter connected to my GPU.
USB Hub is without its own power source.
I tried to connect just mouse or keyboard without hub direct to extension cable, same effect.

Might be the problem that cable 5 meter and my mouse cable has like 90 cm adition lenght?

Could be the length but I would also consider the overall quality of the extension cable as a concern.

I see nothing in the Gembird cable specs that supports it being able to go 90 feet / 30 meters.

Strange that i have tried to connect to my old pc and it works fine. My new pc contains GPU and SSD from my old Athlon.

Strange indeed.

However, I do not find it surprising that it works on an older pc but not on a newer pc.

Just some threshold difference between the two systems.....

If possible try a hub that uses its' own power source.
