Lagging on max settings on COD WW2 with 1080ti

I just downloaded COD WW2 and was really excited to see how my pc would run this game considering how i thought i had a top notch graphics card but when i tried running the game in max settings i would constantly have fps lag and sound lag. Not sure what is going on, if someone could please leave an explanation, i would really appreciate it!
Heres my pc specs
CPU: Intel I7 7700
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 ti
Memory Viper DDR4 16GB 3200MHz
Storage: 500 Gb SSD, 1tb hard drive

I have a corsair cx750m V2. When i run heaven benchmark i get 219.3 fps, a score of 5525, minimum fps of 9.7 and maximum fps of 405fps. My graphics card gets to around 73 degrees celsius

I think it may have been an issue with my drivers. I just reinstalled them and it seems to be running great. I also disconnected my second monitor and plugged my headphones in instead of my monitor so I don't know if that has anything to do with it
