Ever since i got a 144hz monitor ive been stuttering in csgo, this has never happened before and i was wondering if i need a new graphics card, currently i have the NVIDIA GTX 960 could my graphics card not be putting enough juice for the monitor?

Solution

Around 250-300, i went to my old monitor and the same thing still happened. ill try turning off the vsync on the 144
[/quotemsg]

V-Sync should fix the problem, also yeah once you get over 200 FPS there's almost always stuttering unless your using V-Sync or...

Running at FPS lower than what the monitors refresh rate is fine, try your old monitor and see if it persists. Also are you using an adapter?

What FPS are you getting? Usually high FPS like over 200 FPS will cause stuttering, try switching to a V-Sync monitor that should smooth out the frames and remove the stuttering.

Just went back to the 144hz and turned of the vsync the stuttering still happens.

V-Sync should fix the problem, also yeah once you get over 200 FPS there's almost always stuttering unless your using V-Sync or AMD's one for AMD cards. Also make sure you have V-Sync turned on in game settings if your running a V-Sync monitor.
