Hello all,
Just build a new pc with 3700x, Asus x570-P MoBo, 16g ram. However I could not get my LAN beyond 100mbps. What am I doing wrong?

What I am sure:
  1. my phone gets 300mbps on wifi.
  2. LAN cable is cat6
  3. network adapter driver is latest, double checked both from Realtek and Asus (now with realtek ver ahead of asus publication)
  4. restarted every time driver is updated.
  5. speed limit verified by Ookla.
  6. ISP confirmed nothing wrong from their end

Solution
OK so all ports are listed as 1GbE ports so thats not the issue. A lot of people buy a lower end router that has 100Mbps ports.

Have you verified under the NIC properties that the port on your system is set to Gigabit full duplex?

Only other things I can say would be either the cable is bad or the routers ports may be set to 100Mbps.

Do you have any other devices with a NIC port to test like a laptop?
