Setup:

Router: TP-LINK Archer C7 AC1750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router

Server: Win 10 / i5-4690 / 16gb ram / ASRock Z97 Extreme6 LGA 1150 Intel Z97 mobo with 2 gigabit ethernet port

Client: Win 10 / AMD Phenom II X4 955 / 16gb ram / ASUS M4A89GTD PRO mobo with Realtek 8111E. spec says it supports 10/100/1000Mbps

Server, client and the router are all right next to each other. Server is hooked up to the router using cat 5e cable. Client is connected using wireless card, Rosewill Dual Band AC1200 Wireless Adapter, about 867Mbps on 5ghz band. I turned off 2.5Ghz and in server NIC card, i set speed to auto negotiate.

My trouble is when i copy file from server to the client, i always get 11Mib/s (about 11 Mb/s) and no i am not confusing Mib with mbps... I got the Mib/s from filezilla (filezilla server on the server) i used to copy file. Transferring file using Windows Explorer also shows consistent 10mb/s. When i use rocobopy, Task Manager shows transfer rate of about 98Mbps...

I even tried hooking up the client to the router with cat 5e cable but got the exact same speed which tells me that there is artificial cap happening somewhere.

Lan Speed Test (http://totusoft.com/lanspeed/) also shows Write speed of 87mbps and reading of 49mbps between these 2 computers.

What could be the issue?

Solution
I've already spent 2 days on it when i posted here, but after that i tried a few other things and now i get about 60mb/s.
Not sure which one fixed this but here are things i tried (leaving here as archive for myself when i pave my machine in the future):
1. The server had 2 gigabit ethernet ports. i originally hooked up to Realtek pcie. I switched it to intel and updated driver
2. The client only has realtek pcie ethernet port. Updated driver.
3. The server was connected to the router using cable, but it did not say if it is CAT e5 (i said e5 in the original post, but looking at it more closely, it doesn't say...). Switched to something that does say e5.
