Solution
It is kinda rare that a lan port on a motherboard would go bad but it is a possibility. Not sure what you googled but you will generally find driver downloads on the motherboard manufactures site. Which drivers you use depend on your OS.

https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-P55-USB3-rev-10#support-dl

I do not see win10 in that one so you will need to go to the chipset manufacture site..realtek in your case and download the driver for your lan chipset which is a RTL8111E

They also have newer ones for older version of windows but I would try the ones from the motherboard site first
If the ethernet port is on the motherboard, and there are no lights on it, I would check to see if you have the driver disc for the motherboard.
There may be an option to install the ethernet drivers and this could fix the problem.

Alternatively, make sure the cable is properly plugged in at both ends, from the PC to a router/adaptor/switch.

If it is still not working, try a different cable.
If you still aren't having any luck, there is a small chance that the port is damaged and no longer works...

Make sure the cables work fine and the problem is actually the motherboard.
To get the drivers, you can go to the link below.

The webpage to visit is: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-P55-USB3-rev-20#support-dl
You need to scroll down the drivers to the 'LAN' menu, then choose a suitable driver.
Depending on the OS, if you have XP or Vista, download those drivers. If you have 7, 8 or 10, then download the windows 7 driver and cross your fingers. I don't think there are any more up-to-date drivers, sadly.

If that doesn't solve the problem and the Ethernet port is still not working, I would recommend buying a network card, or potentially returning the PC if you feel that would be a better approach.

I hope the drivers get it working! :)
