Hello, I got halfway through a stack of 50 cd-r's and it got to where my laptop was not seeing the disks so I could burn music file. I'd have to go through 10 to get maybe 4 to work. media player would not see any of them but real player seem to see them. I got 10 new cd-r's. The first 4 burned with no problem. The 5th was not seen. The 6th was seen but the rest after that were not. I put them in my desktop and and only 3 out of the 5 were seen. I got my neighbors laptop and all 6 were seen. But when placed in my laptop none were seen again. He gave me blanks he doesn't use and was able to burn all so far. Why did after only a few did my laptop stop seeing these blanks. The only difference I see is the write speed between his and mine. But that should be irrelevant to what's happening. I'm wasting money on blanks as I cant get them all to work? An the process of elimination isn't working for me. Any thoughts?

All CD/DVD-burners have a preference for a particular brand of media that they work best with, but in general you should stick to a quality brand like the number one top-brand Verbatim. They may cost more but if you get fewer "coasters" they will actually prove to be better value for money.
