Lapping My HSF and CPU

So i have been tossing this idea around and from what I have read lapping the two seems to be the best way to achive the best results.

My question is this, For a HSF im using the Vigor Monsoon II

My CPU is a E6400, so no real questions there.

My question is in regards to my HSF being a TEC cooler. Will this be an issue for lapping?
As a side question, how do you guys ensure your getting a nive level lapp? All the new HSF are huge. Do u simply muckle onto is and slowly go slowly back and forth?

Hmm that link doesnt answer the question about wether lapping the TEC is reccomended or not.

As far as the link it DOES answer your second question. However there should not be an issue with lapping a Peltier effect cooler, the copper block should be fine, just don't remove all of it. 😀
