Question Laptop battery going completely flat, even after shutdown

Hi there

i have a brand new Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3.
Whenever i shutdown the laptop, i will find the battery completely drained in the morning.
When io charge it, it takes about 2 hours to fully charge and runs to flat in under an hour.
Might it be a faulty battery or perhaps a factory fault or am i doing something wrong?

could possibly be a bad connection and/or bad battery.
usually ends up being something running in the background using high resources constantly draining power.

keep an eye on Task Manager
and when shutting down make sure it is not using any advanced hibernation/hybrid sleep/etc option and is actually completely shutting down.

I have checked that already.
Some days it is completely fine the one day, but on other days, it is completely drained.
I wonder if the battery, is not just a factory fault.
Maybe will be best to contact the supplier.
