Read numerous threads but nothing has helped. My system restore is not working, so that's not an option. Already tried to connect directly via ethernet wire but the same thing happens. Other computers in house all working fine. I've uninstalled my virus protection and turned off the firewall, but same result. Any other suggestions?

Solution
did you try manually configuring IP into your network adapter?
try updating all the drivers for your wifi and ethernet adapters.
also, resetting your router to factory defaults may help...
something may have gone wrong on the dhcp pool / table on your router
if not, i bet freshly formatting your PC with the issue may do the trick lol
but let us know!

No, ISP is fine, on it now on a different machine.

I did update the drivers. Router is fine as everything else in the house works fine. Odd thing is the computer will connect to my iphone's hot spot though.

This time I uninstalled all the network adapters and once they reinstalled the damn thing worked! Two more minutes it was going in the trash in 3 pieces! Thanks for the help.
