So, I pressed the button on my laptop keyboard to turn down the brightness by accident. After doing so then display went really dim, I then turned the brightness back to 100 but it didn't fix anything, the display is still really dim. Someone help please 🙁

My laptop is the Lenovo Z500 IdeaPad (Not touchscreen).

I went into the boot menu and I cannot find anywhere where it lets me change the brightness. There are only very few options in the boot menu on this laptop, none of them having nothing to do with brightness.

Fixed it, I did this: Go to Control Panel>Display>Adjust Resolution>Click advanced settings>click properties>click driver tab... After you click update driver, it will ask you "how you want to search for driver software;" click "browse my computer for software" then next window choose "let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer;" you'll see compatible drivers, look for "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" click next>
