Hmm. Could be an iGpu crash. How old is this laptop of yours? And, are you sure these action center changes are not windows updates or old driver issues? Try updating drivers! (I am an AMD, nVidia user so I am not really experienced with Intel, but I have used before). Or, just buy a cheap GPU (possibly a 1050 for 100 bucks) and use an eGPU port...
