Laptop doesn't detect the wireless network

Hi there. I recently bought a new laptop, an ASUS X550CC. I installed the drivers and everything was fine for 2 or 3 days, but then, all of a sudden, the wireless network that I was connected to disappeared from the connection list. I tested the wireless connection with 3 other laptops and it's working just fine, and I've tested to connect via cable. That worked too. It seems that I just can't find the wireless network. I sometimes see it for a couple of seconds, but when I try to connect it says: "Windows was unable to connect to wireless network..." I've been looking for a solution to this problem, but I can't find anything. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

One quick fix that has worked for me a number of times is to open the network control panel, select manage wireless networks, and then delete the network that is not being found. Upon a restart, when the network is detected select it, enter the passkey and choose connect automatically.

I just tried that. Isn't working. After I restarted the laptop I saw the network, tried to connect, and got this error message: "Windows was unable to connect to the wireless network."

Then I would try uninstalling the wireless adapter in the device manager and then reinstalling, including reinstalling the wireless driver (use the latest download from ASUS) and be sure that you have the correct security type and passkey to log on again.

Thank you very much. It worked. I re-started and re-installed the router driver and the wireless driver and then I was able to connect to the network.
