Hello! Recently i updated my Asus N53SM Laptop Bios 205 to Unlocked 205. After doing so my ethernet started not to work. I posted around some forums and everybody was saying that it is a driver issue, which i highly doubt.
I have reinstalled windows, updated all the drivers, checked all connections. I even went back from my unlocked bios to the asus provided one.

My Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller still shows:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.

After digging around i have found out that my MAC Adress has been wiped.
In powershell i can see my wifi as up and running, but my NIC is not.

I have no idea what to do. I have found a YouTube Tutorial on how to change the mac address, but i can't find the ethernet Mac address anywhere on the motherboard. Is there something that i can do, or have i broken my ethernet beyond repair.

Edit: typo

Solution
Once you have a driver you can set the mac address so it may just be because the device is in the strange state it is and not the actual cause.

Generally when you reisnstall you must also load drivers from the motherboard manufacture.

I would also try a linux USB boot image. These tend to have driver built in that support most ethernet chipsets. If that works then you know it is just something messed up with the windows install

I installed POPos on a usb and booted into live boot, Ethernet works. Thank you for this, this is the first time this week, that i have seen my ethernet back up.

Now to fix this problem on windows, would i just need to format my drive and reinstall windows? cause i have no problem doing that. Or is there something else i should do.
