[SOLVED] Laptop fan keeps turning on/off every 5 seconds

Hey!
this issues started about 3 days ago. the fan keeps turning on and off every 5 seconds and everytime it does that it makes a loud sound.
I disassembled the laptop in order to make a video of the matter!
My laptop is
Asus k540ub

In the video, the fan stopped more than once in a matter of 3 to 5 seconds because it was not plugged

Could be the fan is dying

I replaced the fan. Still im a bit concerned about the temperature of the CPU. Im getting an average of 65 C. is that normal or do i have to do replace the thermal paste?

It's good practice to always put new thermal paste. Wipe off the old thermal paste with a cloth that doesn't leave bits on the cpu with isopropyl alcohol. i.e. put the isopropyl alcohol on the cloth and wipe it off carefully, with the battery disconnected of course

I do believe the cloth I was referring to is lint-free wipes
