My laptop OS got corrupted. So i want to recover the data. I connected the hard drive to another laptop through USB cable and i was able to copy files from D and E drive. But C drive is not showing. How can I recover the data from the C drive?
How does the drive appear in Disk Management? Does it have healthy file system and/or partitions?
You need to scan the drive with some data recovery tool. In case the data is not overwritten, you should be able to recover at least some of the data.

Thanks for the reply. My problem is that OS is corrupted. Windows 7 I am using. This laptop has 4 drives. C, D, E (Recovery) and F. To take the back up of the data, I connected the hard drive to another Laptop, which also has 4 drives. When I connect my hard disk, my hard disk drives are showing with the following name K, L(Recovery) M, N . From this I am able to open K and L drives and copy the data. But M drive is showing NTFS, instead of showing disk size and when I click on it for opening, "Access Denied" message is showing. Please let me know what I can do recover the data from the C drive of this hard disk.
Yeah, I got that.
As you can't simply access M:, you need to download some data recovery tool and try to retrieve the data that way.
Another thing you can try is to run Disk Check on M: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html
