Hello guys, my msi is cx623, i3 m 370 2,4 ghz, Gf 310m, win 7,x64, 4gb ram.
My questions are can i upgrade it to an i5 or i7? Will the mobo support it? Should I worry about heat?
I found this on a site simmilar to gumtree in my area:
i5-2520M - 3M Cache, up to 3.20 GHz 2nd gen. price 26 pounds.L
Thank you all for your time.

Solution
The cpu is socket g1 and can be changed. As with any cpu upgrade on a laptop, be wary of increased heat and power and the bios may not be compatible. Other cx623 models came with an i5 460m so that is surely to work. It's just not a big difference so cost may not be worth it. You can try to contact msi for a cpu support list but usually they won't have it and you upgrade at your own risk. The i5-2520m is not the same socket. Look for the same gen, first gen i series. http://www.cpu-world.com/Sockets/Socket G1 (rPGA988A).html
