Question Laptop key type identification - Alienware M17 R5

Hello all. Need some help identifying this key type so I can get a replacement. I have replaced many keys in my day, but have never seen one like this. I cannot even find another example like this anywhere. Never seen one with a spring on the back. Unsure if there are any parts missing. There is a complete keyboard on ebay, but that would be pricey for a single key replacement. Thanks for your help!

I've replaced/repaired many laptop keyboards in the past. That spring is a modified design of a typical scissor switch, the latter of which you'll see on standard laptop keyboards. That part you have isn't something you can replace off the shelf. Even if you did try replacing the keycap, chances are you might damage it and then need to buy a replacement keyboard for the laptop.

I'd advise you pick up the replacement keyboard.
