[SOLVED] Laptop LCD replacement dell alienware

Hey fellas, ive shattered lcd display on my alienware m14xr1 laptop and now I can't find exact replacement.
(*i can't buy from Amazon, eBay alibaba etc*)
So I done a lot of research and found a website that sells LG displays with similar specifics which sounds good, 14"1600*900-40pin (and LED they claim) ,my question is that does it work in my laptop? I mean both are 40 pin so basically it should operate on all 40 pin laptops?

95% of the cars have four wheels. That does not mean you can swap engines between Ford and Yugo.

The fact that both are 40pins means nothing. You should check datasheets, and compare original with replacement. Or at least, arrange for return in case it does not work.

Last but not least: A reputable repair shop should know what is compatible.
