I am a bit bemused by a CPU-Z reading for my laptops memory. It reads PC3,-300 (18Mhz) as the max bandwidth on its DDR3 RAM. This seems very low.

My PC runs at PC3-10600 or something and another laptop has max bandwidth PC-6400 (400Mhz) or something.

18Mhz seems really low even considering all the DDR multiplications etc. The laptop is also really slow and I am trying to find a reason for it.

try a few programs sometime they can screw up. make sure your laptop ram is locked in. with the battery and ac power off reseat it. use ccleaner..malware bytes..hitman pro to clean your pc up use defragler to aline old hard drive. use msconfig look under the start up tab and turn stuff off that not needed at start up. make sure you have only one anti virus software loaded. if your anti virus is old look at the new free bitdefender free. it small and lightwight.

use crusial memory advisor to read your system info if your running xp or newer and only 2g of ram your system will slow down as some of the ram is used for onboard video. see if you can add more ram to help. it be the cheapest upgrade that you can. also check to see how full your laptop drive is if it gets to full windows can make a swap file.
