[SOLVED] Laptop memory

Hello, I currently have 4gb of RAM in my laptop and I want to upgrade it to 2x4gb. My laptop is a HP Pavilion g6-2201sd and the ram stick that it uses now is am1u16bc4p2-b19h. Can I add any 4gb 1600 MHz SO-DIMM ram stick or does it need to be the exact same part number to run in dual channel?

How does that work? When there is a free slot available I should be able to just add another stick don't I?
