Question Laptop monitor not working.

Hi all,

I have a gaming laptop. My laptop screen hasn't been working for over a year probably. I've always used an external monitor. You could still see a tiny line at the top border on the laptop monitor so i always figured it was just broken. But then i started playing Banished and laptop monitor displayed it aswell. It only does it with banished. Any other game it's still black.

Anyone know whats going on or how i could fix it?

Can you give us the exact make and model of your laptop? This will help.

Have you tried standard fixes , like changing cables DP to HDMI or on a different port? All system drivers and bios up to date?

Hi, Yes have changed cables and different ports, also everything is up to date and have reinstalled windows. It's an acer nitro 5.

Are you sure the bioss is up to date? You can check which version with CPU-z.
