Question Laptop not booting after thermal re-pasting of CPU and GPU.

I have an Acer Predator Helios 300 (PH315-51-50ST) since start of 2019. There have been thermal issues/throttling since the beginning, especially when playing games. Undervolting had initially helped to keep the temps somewhat manageable (70-80C) under load. However recently it has been averaging 60-70C when idle. Hence decided to re-apply the thermal paste using the Thermal Grizzly. After the application however the laptop is not booting, the power light shows up for 2-3secs then goes away. Whereas the charging light is still working when plugged to the adaptor. Any idea on how to get it booting again?

First check that the heatsink firmly touches on the cpu and gpu. Perhaps you screwed it a bit loose. Then see if anything was misplaced such as the RAM.

OK I got it to boot finally! I think there was an issue with cleaning of the fans and possibly tightening the heatsink a bit too much. The temps are pretty decent now at idle (40-50C), I live in a pretty humid area.
However now whenever I try and play games the laptop just freezes and the audio spazzes out as soon as it loads. Any idea what could be causing this?
