hi, i have a dell inspiron n411z with an intel i5 2.50 ghz. Whenever i try to run windows normally or safe mode or anything to do with running windows, it says starting windows, a blue screen flashes by and the laptop restarts. I can't run the laptop in safe mode and trying repair computer doesnt show the system restore options
Help!

If i disable automatic restart on system failure, it shows me a 0x0000007b error. what do i do?

Thnx

Solution

1. For desktops one option is to get into bios and change HDD to IDE setting, if this is possible in your laptop, i suggest trying it.

2. Its possible your HDD is failing thus the different BSOD errors.

Possible recovery disc here:

Note payment of required for discs.

0x0000007b .......error can be caused by many things, like virus or a driver problem.

If you have your windows disc you can boot up with it and when you see "install" option displayed at this point you will at the bottom left of the screen the option to enter in windows repair recovery console. You can try startup repair, system restore since these and other options will displayed to you.

is there anything else i can do? I don't have my windows disc as the laptop came with the OS. And, is there a way I could figure out what is causing the 0x0000007b error?
