I have a Lenovo Ideapad 100 15IDB. But because Lenovo is completely * at what they do, they gave me a faulty hard drive.

After 1.5 hours of trying to get the stupid back off of the laptop. I got a new SSD in.

Finally, I have gotten a USB Flash Drive with the Windows Boot Media .exe file on it, the laptop isn't even recognizing the flash drive or the boot file inside.

Any suggestions?

"clicked the link"....

Right.

You just downloaded the 'tool' that allows you to create a bootable USB or DVD.
Your system can't boot from that exe.

And hopefully, you clicked...

Well on my main PC I googled 'Windows 10 boot for USB' and clicked the link that says 'Download Windows 10 Disc Image (ISO file) - Microsoft' which I basically read as 'download Windows 10'

I then click the link on that page that says 'Download Tool Now'

After the download, I move the file to my USB, plugged it into my laptop and then started it. But it doesn't read it.

Is there a different download or ?

And hopefully, you clicked a link directly from Microsoft, not just some random link.

Go here, read the directions, and do this:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
