Hy , I replaced my Laptop's HDD (1 TB Segate) with a SSD ( Samsung 850 Evo 120 gb).
- I placed the ssd inside the laptop, where the hdd was.
- And the Hdd in a CADDY (in place of Dvd)
- I installed windows 10 ( clean install ,activated)
- I will use SSD only for Os , and the HDD for games.

Did it in this order.
1) Replace The Ssd in the laptop.
2) Install Windows.
3) SSD - optimization ( that settings )
4) Put the Hdd in the caddy , then in laptop.
5) Wipe the HDD

The ssd Works Great , the hdd works great , Updated the ssd firmware with Samsung magician and did the optimisations , after that , when I shut down the laptop it stops , but when I start it again the battery is almost drained out , and I can feel a little heat coming from the fan (when the pc is turned off) .
I searched for solutins, I found nothing , please help.

Thanks.

Prior to performing your hardware upgrades, did you update your BIOS? Since we're talking about Windows 10 have you made sure you installer isn't corrupt by recreating your bootable USB installer? Try and perform a repair install to rid your OS of any corruptions without having to reinstall it. The last thing I'd suggest would be see if your device drivers were up to date and if you have 2 GPU's onboard your laptop to have turn off your automatic device driver updates.

Can you please pass on the make and model number for your laptop?
