[SOLVED] Laptop not turning on

I think my laptop stopped detecting RAM. I have a hp pavilion g6 and 2 RAM each of 4 gb in size. When I turn on my laptop, the caps lock key keeps on blinking and there’s no display. The laptop was working till yesterday and it does not turn on now all of a sudden. Any help would be highly appreciated.

how many time it blinks, might be gpu chip failing if its AMD

It blinks for a like 5-6 times then I turn off the power button and then try to restart again. I have an Intel board.

Does it have amd gpu Or only integrated Intel graphics In cpu? If no amd gpu this might be fixable.

There should be pattern To the blink code. First try removing battery and power cable then press power button for 20sec. After that insert only power cable and try To boot

it says here, Inter(R) HD Graphics 3000

It says here, Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000. actually the laptop started today out of nowhere. I cleaned the RAM slot with a thick paper and the golden part of the RAM with a soft eraser. The laptop is working now, but I am worried if it encounters the same problem and I can’t turn on the laptop, what do I do then

There Is different blink code for the laptop. Wish you would remeber the pattern. Was probably dirty ram slot. Since you dont have amd northbridge Or gpu things Look brighter.
