Question Laptop not working on external moniter via HDMI (Possible CRU cause)

My laptop screen is broken, so instead of buying a new screen I connected it to a external moniter. It worked for the whole year until 2 days ago. I decided to shut off my laptop to do something else but when I tried using it again, it stopped showing display on the moniter. I tried plugging my laptop into 3 more moniters buy yet, no signal. I swapped out the HDMI but that didn't work neither.

I did play around with a software known as CRU(custom resolution utility) to up my refesh rate on the external moniter before it.

I opened something named Generic Pnp Moniter but dont remember if I changed anything.

but that's a stop gap to a larger issue, which is that you should replace the screen on your laptop.

I hope you didn't ruin your laptop in any manner by manipulating the refresh rate for your GPU.
