Laptop processor upgrade

Solution
Edit : Sorry For The Wrong Information , Apologize for it
However , The Upgrade for a Laptop Processor is Dangerous , And may damage Your Motherboard . You can google it or Search in youtube for tutorials . However I Don't Feel That You Should Upgrade the cpu , Since it is already a good processor and does perform well.

Hey, you don't really need to upgrade your processor !!
It is an ok processor.
What are you going to do with a slighty better one ??
And if gaming is your concern, please mention the inbuit GPU in your laptop.

Please try not to post incorrect info. The cpu is not soldered to the mobo and is removable. This is easily determined by the socket; it's pga. There are a couple issues with upgrading laptop cpus. The cpu support list is not published and contacting the oem may not get it. You can see what other cpus were available for the same laptop to get an idea but you are just going to have to hope it does. Just because it's the same socket and gen does not mean the bios will accept it. Laptops are designed for their specs. They do not have extra headroom for cooling or power in most cases to allow for a better cpu.

In this case, the cpu is already pretty good and ones that are higher cost a lot for only a small increase in performance.

Yes, different mobo's have different number of sockets, and and only support specific processors.
And the mobo of the laptop is fixed, so no point in chnging that ( correct me if i am wrong !)
And he is most probably thinking that gaming or photoshop performance depend on the processor.
Those are actually more GPU dependant.

To the P.A.-
Please mention your GPU ( if any )

The cpu only is available 1 socket. I don't know what you mean by the mobo is fixed. The mobo can't be switched out obviously because it's a laptop but it can be taken out, it is not stuck inside the laptop. In either case, that is irrelevant and the cpu itself can be taken out. Same model laptop np550p5c did have different cpus and same mobo, I see one with an i5 3210m and another with i7 3610qm with just a quick google.

No point in asking for a gpu when he gave his model number but that does raise the question, why do you want to upgrade? Photoshop performance is not more gpu dependent past a certain point.

Cpu changing on a laptop is dangerous? It's the same process on a pga desktop socket. Unless you count the complications of disassembling a laptop but the only way to damage the mobo is user error.

I Meant that The Parts of laptop (While modifying espesially motherboard )are sensitive . I heard many people saying that by just vacuum cleaning the Fan sink , The laptop was not working . so just be careful .
