Hello Guys,

Here's the images of my current ram and the one I want to add on to the vacant 2nd slot : View: https://imgur.com/a/CKX9LzB

Laptop: Asus ROG GL552VW

(The numbers in bold and underlined are the only difference)

Existing Current RAM:
SK hynix
8GB 2Rx8 PC4--2133P--SEO--11
HMA41GS6AFR8N-- TF NO AC 1629

The extra 8 gig ram I would like to buy for the 2nd slot:
SK hynix
8GB 2Rx8 PC4--2133P--SE0--10
HMA41GS6AFR8N--TF NO AC 1537

So would the extra ram play nicely with the existing current RAM?

Thank you for your time.

Regards,
SteelMouse

No one will ever be able to give you an answer to this.

Mixing RAM modules is a 50/50 gamble. RAM modules are only guaranteed compatibility in the form sold (from the exact same pack). So the only way to find out is to get them and see what happens.

I personally always recommend avoiding the potential headache by buying a whole new pack.

Thank you very much for the knowledge. I always thought as long as it's the same model and same manufacturer, should play nice. Never knew the was compatibility was restricted to the same pack.

Have a great day.
