Question Laptop Running INCREDIBLY Slow

I have a windows 10 laptop that is only around 2 years old. It doesnt have the best hardware, however, it is constantly running so slow its unusable for anything.
It is a HDD inside that has 2GB of storage. I have barely used 200GB as its only used for university work.
Task manager shows the disk running at 100% with no programs running.
I have tried stopping windows search, which used to work, but not anymore.
Any Suggestions?

Right-click an empty space on the taskbar and click Task Manager. Then click the Process tab and click the Disk header to see what's doing all the disk activity. That should show what the culprit is.
