Laptop says Limited Access but works on other devices

Our laptop suddenly won't connect to the internet. We're receiving a "Limited Access" message and when troubleshooting, it cannot find the problem.

I've restarted the router and laptop, but nothing has changed. The Wi-Fi does work on our phones and Playstation though. Anyone have an idea on what it could be?

Btw which windows are you using ? windows 7 ?

Anyways you can try this as a final resort at the command prompt

netsh winsock reset catalog
netsh int ip reset reset.log hit

After typing those two commands restart your laptop

Try again to connect.

Hey guys, I finally found the solution. If you are like me and ran the AVG update it added a security filter "AVG network filter driver" into the wireless and wired network properties. You need to uncheck this filter by right clicking your mouse on the desired network adapter you are using and select properties. Once selected, make sure you uncheck the box" AVG network filter driver" and voila, problem resolved. Hope this helps!

Simple Dear Just GOTO
Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections
It will leads you network sharing center ( Change Adapter setting)
Goto Wifi then right click and open Properties

Then Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPV4)
Click on properties

Here Your check will be on
Use the following IP address

Just Change it Select
Obtain an IP address Automatically

Plz go to control panel > network commections > wifi adapter right click go to status then wireless properties a pop window open then go to securtiy tab then advance settings click on the check box and your net is connected
