Question Laptop screen went totally dark, still the same with a new screen ?

Guys,

My laptop all of a sudden the screen went completely dark.

But when I point the flashlight of the cell phone at the screen I can see something, it's as if the brightness was at the lowest possible level (I already changed the brightness and nothing changed)

I've been researching and this could be a backlight defect, which would require replacement of the display.

I bought a new screen for my notebook and to my surprise, the same problem continues, I can only see an image when I point the flashlight of the cell phone at the screen.

If I connect an external monitor to the HDMI port it works normally.

Does anyone have an idea what it could be?

Sounds like the backlight inverter has failed.

So the inverter circuit is located on the motherboard, not integrated into the LCD display?
