Laptop shutting down when idle, even tough settings say otherwise.

I have my laptop set to high performance plan and to never sleep/hibernate/shut down. But, for some reason, when it is idle for like 20-30min, it automatically shuts down. It works for hours when I am using it actively, though. This is really annoying when I want to download something overnight. Any help?

check your power settings if they are set to made it stop after some inactive time period .

Check for manufacture software taking over power management. Look at the event log.

If it comes to it, use software that glitches the mouse every few minutes to trick the computer into thinking it's being used.
