Laptop A is a 1 yr old MSI laptop with a bad screen running Windows 11.
Laptop B is a brand new MSI laptop the same model as laptop A.
Can I put the SSD drive from A into B and use it while screen from A is being repaired?
Any gotchas to watch out for?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Laptop A is a 1 yr old MSI laptop with a bad screen running Windows 11.
Laptop B is a brand new MSI laptop the same model as laptop A.

You've mentioned that they are both MSI laptops but we're going to need a little more info. You should be specific regarding the make, model and SKU of the laptops.

Can I put the SSD drive from A into B and use it while screen from A is being repaired?
Any gotchas to watch out for?

You probably could but you're going to have to reinstall the OS. If you don't, you're going to incur instability issues.

Why would there be instability if the hardware is the same?
