Question Laptop started flickering when I unplugged it

I have a Over Powered (Walmart) laptop OP-L03 Was working fine until I unplugged it....it immediately started 'strobing' flickering like crazy. plugged it back in but still flickered - I was able to get to the display on the desktop & lowered the brightness - which made it stop. as long as its set below 11. i wiggled the input of the power cord but it doesnt seem to be shorted out..I sonnected the laptop to another display which works perfectly. I updated the drivers - did hardware troubleshooting through Windows 11...nothing wrong there. Searching for answers i can only guess that something has happeded to the display. Im willing to purchase a screen off ebay but worry if i do that this may happen again when i unplug it. I would appreciate ANY thoughts from you folks before i proceed. thanks in advance..

I suspect a loose connection to the screen (tapping on areas of the laptop may confirm this but may also make it worse), but I'd also look at your Power Settings in Windows and set it to always be Performance whether on battery or plugged in
