I'm currently using a IBM PS/2 model M with a USB adapter. This works well, but having to map my Caps Lock key to the Windows key is a pain. I'd like to find a keyboard with the same feel, but wireless. Having volume control would be a bonus.

I've tried a couple Steelseries and Razer keyboards, but they just did not work well. Keys were too wobbly, or the travel wasn't as smooth as it should be. My typing was just not accurate on them.

I would be using this keyboard under Windows 11, Linux and Mac OS X through a KVM.

What keyboards would you suggest?

Could you state which keybaords you've tried? It's to avoid referring keyboards that are similar in nature.

Might want to also mention your budget, your location and your preferred site for purchase. You could look at a barebone hotswappable mechanical keyboard and perhaps mod it a little to get the typing feel you're looking for...?

This might be worth a read.

Looks like some wag was annoyed enough about how mechanical switches bind a bit if not pressed directly downwards, that they made a group buy for a custom curved keyboard frame. There are off-the-shelf mechanical keyboards with a concave layout like the IBM, but this is done with angled keycaps which make the top and bottom rows feel noticeably different/worse.

Or you could just get used to a flat keyboard. I mean eventually you'd become accurate with one.
