Question Laptop turns off when unplugged.

My hp laptop is 2 years old. Recently i have been facing with certain battery issuses .My laptop battery is not charging or discharging and laptop turns off when unplugged. When i checked the battery health it is around 60% . I tried to change the drivers, update bios etc but nothing worked till now. Is it because my battery is actually dead or due to some motherboard failures? Please help me out guys, i dont really know what to do.

i3 6th gen processor
8gigs of ram
2gb amd graphics card
