Laptop uses the other graphics card

i have a 970 or a 960 (i dont remember) in my laptop and i also have an intel5600 in it,i have just reinstalled the whole computer(cracked) and i downloadded all the programs i mainly use(usually games)and i got very high fps in games but today when i started playin i realized i had an fps drop and i looked at my setting and the setting were at very high and go it to low and my fps still droped so i looked at what it was using and it was using the intel one,i checked my device maneger and looked at display adapters and it only has intel there,i tried updating my driver but it said it doesnt se a graphics card,what can i doo other then i reinstall?
