What am I looking at in regards to getting the desktop equivalent to this machine in terms of parts. What would this equivalent cost me?

Please list Nvidia and Intel parts as that is what I would go for.

Thanks for the input and I could see how the title could be misleading. I am not asking which is better as I know desktops will always* outperform laptops. My question was what desktop to get vs the laptop I specified.

The equivalent power desktop pc will generally cost around half the price.
FOR E.G. a 3570k cpu and a gtx650ti discreet card will game better
than your specified laptop, but consume much more power. This is why laptop tech is expensive. The desktop will last roughly twice as long as the laptop.

I had this thread as a discussion by mistake. If a mod sees this, chriss000 posted what I would pick as the best answer and this can be closed.
