Hello,
I know there are tons of threads based around similar issues but none of them have solved my issues (unplugging the wifi router and restarting it, updating the sound card, the networking card, reinstalling flash drive, restarting the computer, testing it out on other wifi networks).
I have been trying to play videos on various streaming services and it always downgrades the quality to the point where it is virtually unwatchable and then stops loading. Similar issues happen when I try to upload videos -- currently trying to upload a 64 mb file and it has already taken 20 minutes.
However, when I am on my phone, playing the same video works fine (no downgrade in quality, no stalling), and I actually uploaded a video side by side on my laptop and phone and there was a major difference -- a 600 mb file uploaded in 6 minutes on phone, and 45 minutes on laptop.
At first I thought it was the wifi itself -- but then I took my laptop to a friend's house and the issues persisted (while trying to play the same video on her laptop we ran into no issues).
I have cleaned out my browser cache, tried using other browsers, and have applied almost every fix I could to my laptop, short of taking it to somebody that might charge me an arm and a leg for this issue.
I have an ASUS 2015 ROG laptop, running Windows 10.
