Question Laptop WiFi slow but fast if I use USB WiFi adapter

Hi all, I've been trying to figure out why the WiFi on my laptop works really really slow on my home WiFi. I've reset every internet & adapter settings, update the driver, config the dns, all of them doesn't improve anything. My home WiFi works fine on my phone and other laptop.

Today I tried to plugin an external WiFi adapter to my laptop and Voila! The internet works fast.

Distance from my room to the router is less than 5 meter. My signal strength is always full. So I don't think the problem is with the distance?

Does anyone have any idea why and how to fix the WiFi connection on my laptop?

What laptop is it?

I know Dell's have an issue with the actual driver/software I believe it is called Smartbyte. Most people say to simply uninstall them and use the Microsoft default driver for the wifi card.

My laptop is Asus TP301UA.. From my device manager, it says the WiFi adapter is Qualcomm Atheros AR946X
