I have a laptop with the following specs:

MSI Model GE73VR 7RF cpu i7-7700HQ 32gb ram NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Intel(R) HD Graphics 630 Windows 10 Pro

I installed Core Temp and when I play any games, such as ARK, it sky rockets up around 95 degrees Celsius and starts lagging my system.

When I looked at my task manager, it shows that the 630 is in use but not the 1070:

I'm not sure if I mucked something up or what but I don't remember this ever being a problem. Heck, I remember when I was able to get 2 games running at the same time without issue.

Now, I'm having to put a fun under the laptop to keep it cool.

Anyone have any suggestions on what I should look for or what I should do? Is it not using the 1070 for some reason? Can/should I disable the 630?

Thanks for your input!
