Hello, need program to play surround sound, music and movies in HD

sorry to tell you it's not software you need it's hardware.

Problem is you can't really upgrade a laptop with a new soundcard and videocard....

Unless you mean you need the software for your hardware laptop:

go to the manufacturer website you can download driver/software from there

Taken from the advice of dextermat, I ordered the USB Sound Blaster X-fi, Surround 5.1 Pro, and so far it works perfectly. It turned my laptop into entertainment system with a remote control.
