Laptop wont boot

Hello all,

I have an Hp pavillion DV7 3160eb laptop, The problem is that it wont boot anymore. When i plugin the AC adapter nothing happens no lights appear anywhere. the only light that comes on is where i plugin the AC adapter (not the charging light). i have tested the adapter and it works so that is not the problem. i tried replacing the RAM/cmos battery still to no avail (what i did see was that the charging light flickerd for less then a second). I have also tried to boot it without the battery in, just the adapter but still nothing. So do you guys think its the motherboard or could it be something else ?

If the charging light does not come on the motherboard then it is a problem with either then charging jack on the laptop or the motherboard.

You will need to have someone disassemble the laptop to insepct the jack. Otherwise your motherboard is bad.

i already did that and i have checked the jack and it appears to be OK. so i guess its the motherboard then.
