Laptop Works fine...till its unplugged

Hi,
I have scoured the web and couldn't find a similar issue. So I have an Acer Aspire Pro VN7 Nitro and it works fine plugged in. However, the computer won't start or run if its unplugged. If its plugged in, everything runs smoothly. I have performed battery diagnostics and everything is good. The computer is 2 years old. Here are the system specs:
Intel Core I7-6700HQ
16 gb DDR4 RAM
GTX 960m
128g ssd and 1tb HD
Please let me know if you need any other information. Thanks for the tips and advice.

Make sure the battery is secured and in properly. On my personal laptop if the battery is taken out, it still works if it is plugged in.

It's an internal battery and it's secure otherwise the laptop would not read a battery

Does it do a proper windows shutdown? Or a forced one where all power is cut at the second?

It's like a hard shutdown all power dies.
