Question Laptop's audio volume and quality go down whenever an app is using the microphone ?

Pretty much what it says in the title. I use my mic on chrome and discord and they both have the same issue. As soon as my mic stops being used, sound gets back to normal. I've tried the communication tab config, updating drivers, disabling the "listen to this device" option and nothing. I feel like the solution must be simple but I fail to find it on forums or by my own.

I'm on an an ASUS Vivobook 16X laptop with Nvidia GPU and Windows 11 if that helps.

Are you using any headset/external mic or the mic on your laptop? If the latter, maybe see if any noise cancellation feature is enabled in Discord and/or your sound card's app.
