I have my Acer Aspire E5 - 553G for almost 1 year, and i've been thinking the best way to keep my laptop durablity, is bought the external components, such as external keyboard instead of the built-in keyboard and mouse instead using the laptop's touchpad. I thought it for a while and considering, is it really necessary to bought a new components instead using the built-in components for keep my laptop durable for its lifetime?

Any suggestion, i'd be appreciate. Thank You.

Not much point buying a laptop if your going to use external stuff on it which makes it impractical to use when on the move (except an external hard drive for backups).

Only reason I use a regular mouse with my laptop is because I've always hated touchpads - - too slow for my liking when I've been a mouse user for over 20 years - - but the built-in keyboard I've no problem with using that.

But I really don't think it's necessary to use external versions of hardware which a laptop already has because of any durability considerations unless you're extremely heavy-handed and careless.
