large file transfer , without pagefile

is there an issue with tranfering large amnts of files (over 100gbs) from one hdd to another hdd if the pagefile is disabled? it is still tranfering but appears to be stuck, are large file tranfers picky about wanting a pagefile?

I don't think file transfers involve the page file. The page file is used for virtual ram.

Windows was never speedy at transferring files. Try a third party copy utility like turbocopy or something.

yea I think the drive died ... partedmagic acts like its healthy with all its self tests but then windows just pretends it cant format it like its broken and I am going insane. If its formatted ntfs with partedmagic and tests healthy WHY CANT WINDOWS JUST HOOK ME UP AND WORK
